How do I Stop Sapphire From Collecting Usage Data?

To stop Sapphire from collecting usage data, go to the change-usage-collection folder and click on the change-usage-collection application:


Adobe

  • On Windows: C:\Program Files\\GenArts\SapphireAE\change-usage-collection\change-usage-collection.exe
  • On Mac: /Applications/GenArtsSapphireAE/config/change-usage-collection/Change Usage Collection.app

Avid

  • On Windows: C:\Program Files\GenArts\SapphireAVX\change-usage-collection\change-usage-collection.exe
  • On Mac: /Applications/GenArtsSapphireAVX/config/change-usage-collection/Change Usage Collection.app

OFX

  • On Windows: C:\Program Files\GenArts\SapphireOFX\change-usage-collection\change-usage-collection.exe
  • On Mac: /Applications/GenArtsSapphireOFX/config/change-usage-collection/ChangeUsage Collection.app
  • On Linux: /usr/genarts/SapphireOFX/change-usage-collection/change-usage-collection

Autodesk

  • On Mac: /Applications/GenArtsSapphireSparks11/config/change-usage-collection/Change Usage Collection.app
  • On Linux: /usr/discreet/sparks/sapphire11/change-usage-collection/change-usage-collection

This tool will give you the option to turn on or off the collection of anonymous usage data.

To change this from the command line, open usage-optin.txt in your editor and change the ‘y’ in the file to an ’n’.

Note that this data is collected to help us make better decisions on where to focus our future development efforts. The data is anonymous: we look at usage trends, not individual usage.
